Coach Kwan has been coaching for over 15 years. He mentored under one of the top Ontario high school coaches, Ron Parfitt for many years and Coach David Joseph. His intense style of coaching holds his athletes accountable and pushes them to their limits. His past coaching resume includes stints with Pickering High School, UPlay’s EYBL 16Us and the University of Toronto Mississauga. He is also the General Manager for DC United.
Alex Cawsey, Josh Pratt
17U (2006)
Coach Cawsey has shown much promise in only his second season as head coach with DC United. A recent University graduate and an alum of one of the most decorated high school basketball programs in Canada, Pickering High School, Alex is passing on the knowledge he’s gained throughout the years on to the next crop of basketball players in the Durham Region. His enthusiasm and passion for the game has shown through his athletes. He is also currently an assistant with the C.O.D.E. Academy Prep team.
David (DJ) Joseph
18U (2005)
Coach Joseph is a basketball legend in the GTA. After an illustrious playing career, he has coached for over 30 years working with many of the top players to come out of Canada. His experience and leadership has paid dividends with our DC United athletes. His passion and knowledge for the game is second to none. With two sons who currently play pro basketball, he continues to help shape the future of basketball in Canada. He currently also coaches the varsity boys team at C.O.D.E. Prep Academy.
